Dr. Sam Schepers - Veterinarian

Dr. Schepers grew up in Adel, Iowa, and earned both her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University, graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2026. She is excited to join the Dutch Fork Animal Hospital team in July 2026 and begin her veterinary career in Columbia.

Dr. Schepers enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine, with a special interest in surgery. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is building meaningful relationships with her clients and their pets, and she has always had a special place in her heart for dogs. She is passionate about providing compassionate, individualized care to every patient she meets.

After recently relocating to Columbia, Dr. Schepers has enjoyed exploring her new hometown and all that South Carolina has to offer. In her free time, she loves being outdoors, playing volleyball, reading, and trying new restaurants. While she doesn't currently have any pets of her own, she's always browsing local shelter websites in hopes of finding the perfect dog to adopt. She looks forward to meeting the families and pets of Dutch Fork Animal Hospital and becoming a part of the community.
